Amplus Communication and Omron JV
Omron Corporation acquisition of STI

Singapore – August 25th, 2007 – McLean Watson Capital today announced that a Singapore-based portfolio company, Amplus Communication Private Limited, is now a JV partner of Omron (Omron Corp; TSE:6645, ADR:OMRNY).

Omron has completed the acquisition of Scientific Technologies Incorporated (NASDAQ:STI), and as a result, the joint venture which Amplus previously had with STI is now indirectly a JV with Omron Industrial Automation Business (Omron IAB). The JV is Aurora Technology based in Singapore.

The spectrum of activities ranges from full turnkey OEM contract manufacturing, ODM (design-to-specification) services, to the supply of safety devices based on Omron IAB requirements. The unique combination of wireless expertise, production experience and strategic location enables Aurora to offer an integrated customized approach to meeting their customers’ requirements at a compelling price-point.
